Why cook from scratch?
One recent Sunday morning, I walked into the kitchen to begin cooking breakfast and realized that I had cooked for a week straight. So, I decided we were going out to eat. My family and I decided we would treat ourselves to Cracker Barrel for a nice home style cooked breakfast. My husband and I ordered the same dish, a huge platter of all kinds of greasy goodness. But unfortunately, the overall meal wasn't that great and not as good as we had expected. Whether it was cheap food or bad cooks, the restaurant has went downhill since the last time we were there about six months ago.The same day, my parents went to breakfast at Bob Evans. Mom said that they had a hard time eating their meal, since it was undercooked and just overall bad. My bill at Cracker Barrel was $25.00. Mom's bill at Bob Evans was also $25.00. This is ridiculous. $50.00 for four people to eat crappy meals? For $50, four people can eat a large home cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So with the antics of these restaurants, I am just going to stock my fridge and pantry and stay in my own kitchen and save money for a rainy day.
